One of three knives from the “Jungle” collection by Manu Laplace.
Engraving in the backspacer:
“On voyage pour changer, non de lieu, mais d’idées.” ( Hippolyte Taine ) –
A journey for change, from opinions to places.
Emmanuel (Manu) Laplace, at his forge in Thiers, makes unique pocket knives with attention to detail.
knife making is in his blood, his great-grandfather, Gaston Cognet, is the creator of Douk Douk.
His inspiration comes from goldsmiths and weapon engravers.
Knives from Atelier 1515 are characterized by excellent workmanship and high functionality – combined with a timelessly elegant design.
p>p>The name 1515 goes back to a special event in French history, the victory in the Battle of Marignano under King Franz I.
