“L’homme ne naît pas homme, il le devient.” Erasmus von Rotterdam –
Man is not born as a perfect man, he develops.
Emmanuel (Manu) Laplace, manufactures in his forge in Thiers unique pocket knives with love to the detail.
Building knives he has in his blood, his great-grandfather, Gaston Cognet, is the creator of the Douk Douk.
p>His inspiration he gets among other things from goldsmiths or weapon engravers.
Knives from Atelier 1515 are characterized by excellent workmanship and high functionality – combined with a timelessly elegant design.
p>p>The name 1515 goes back to a special event in French history, the victory in the Battle of Marignano under King Franz I.
