this auction on the new Caballero (Gentleman) from the design pen of Gudy v. Poppel is the first titanium model of its kind. Gudy`s distinctive way of building knives combines historical designs with modern technology and the well-known ornaments of his custom knives. This new model not only combines modern materials with the Spanish Navaja style, as Gudy has already shown with his Gitano, but this time with a moderate size, portable as everyday companion. The slightly shorter but higher blade tempts the wearer of this work of art to use it for all cutting tasks. The handle of all Navaja knives pulls slightly downward, Gudy has visually discreet very beautiful imitated. So that by this form a true handy pleasant developed.
The Navaja was designed as a fighting knife and was first adopted by the peoples of Andalusia in southern Spain, including the Spanish gypsies of the time, the Gitanos.
