Midgards Messer “HERMOD” XL Titanium Folder (CPM-D2)

Hello ladies and gents,

the motto for this knife from Midgards is again from freaks for freaks, but it could also go under the motto “no Sissi” as we always call it with the knives from Gudy van Poppel.

Gudy van Poppel knives, when the spring force is above the normal standard. Here it is the same, everything is a little

bigger, more brutal and more extravagant than a normal standard design. After the successful Fixed Hermod now comes the Folder which was made at

manufactured by Bestech.

With its good workmanship and solid construction, the Folder is a perfect companion that can handle all the cutting tasks of everyday life.

Pros; plenty of beautiful expensive milling! Beautiful blade looks like vapor blasted satin/almost velvet finish. Sharpish out of box. Great cutting geometry of blade which flicks out with a Spydieflick fith no problems. Very smooth action, effortless. Well built. An overdone, funnish knife.
Cons; The pocket clip!! It is too close to the spine, amplifying it’s rough edge that eats one’s hand!!
It is magic how the clip vanishes into the handle scale when held just so.
I can work around the clip enough to play with this not so big (as everyone howls) knife. (I often carry a C S Espada xl!) This is a pocketknife size, just fattened and milled. It is not some Espada xl. Perhaps ‘medium’.
Overall, other than that poorly placed clip, which is not a small defect, I do like the knife, the overall quality and build. The milling is insane!! 😉
Might be a keeper…, (but, show me something about 50% larger! hubba hubba! 😉
