The Spring Heeled Jack is a slipjoint by Roland Lannier, which is intended as an EDC especially for the preparation of food: wide blade, especially light materials.
No steel liners were needed. The handle consists of comic pages soaked in synthetic resin. Carbon fibre is used as liner. Roland Lannier uses comics of his favourite authors:
“I only use books written by my favorite authors. I believe American comics are never as good as when they’re written by a Brit (more subversive and not so respecful toward the “comic-code”).”
The backspring has also been redesigned by Roland Lannier – with a G10 inlay. This allowed him to reduce the weight by about a third without affecting the functionality.
To stay true to the line, the axle screw is not made of steel, but of the lighter titanium.
