The Badlands Bowie is just about as menacing as a folding knife can get. It is outfitted with not only an intimidating look but a set of features that allow it to shine as a tactical and/or survival tool. Once you get past the Bowie blade that gives the Badlands its name, you have dual flippers which act as a guard preventing you from sliding forward onto the blade.

The other thing that sets this knife apart from other tactical designs is the ergonomics. It’s true many ADV handles are similar, but this one is by far the most comfortable we’ve ever felt. The addition of a second finger groove and the slight curvature of the overall shape (both not found on the original Butcher) make this knife extremely pleasant to hold and to use. It features a ball-bearing pivot, roller-ball pocket clip, replaceable lockbar insert/overtravel arrestor, and inset Torx screw pivot that is the signature feature of Andre’s work. Paul Hogan would agree; “this is a knife!”
