Midgards-Messer Shorty 3D titanium printed slip joint “double crane force” D2 satin finish, with matching belt buckle

Dirk Hofmeister is now launching his second semi-custom slip joint. Following on from the larger Fjölhammer, the Shorty now features the same locking mechanism and fully integrated design. This means that the handle with movable

clip is printed from a single piece of titanium. The Shorty is a small EDC that fits in any pocket with the matching belt buckle. This is also 100% 3D printed at Midgards-Messer factory in Hilzingen.

There is another special feature of this slip joint with the so-called “crane force” lock. By mirroring the locking notch on the blade on both sides, you can practically lock the small Shorty

twice (double-click system). As with opening, the blade also locks into the closure when closing, preventing the blade from opening unintentionally in your pocket or pants.

Of course, this two-handed knife is 42a compliant and, because the blade is less than 4 cm long, can be carried anywhere.
