Miguel Barbudo learned blacksmithing from scratch from his father. At the same time, he had the privilege of entering the School of Traditional Forging and Restoration of the Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, where he learned from some of the best professionals who worked in the facilities with original pieces from the seventeenth century.

He has been working as a full-time knifemaker since 2015. At the beginning of October 2016, there was a fire in his forge, which completely destroyed both the premises and all the machinery inside. He fought his way back up and completely rebuilt his workshop. From this workshop come custom knives and folders of outstanding quality.

His craft mixes a passion for the rich Spanish knife tradition with new, modern materials. He builds in an international style, from the simple and elegant design to the tactical shapes to the Spanish knives of the SXVIII and XIX, the modern masters of the whole world.

Miguel sees himself as a maker of the “old school” (one man one word), which is why he offers a lifetime guarantee on his products. His work should be a constant companion and always be faithful to its owners, true to his motto, “Viva mi dueño” – “Long live my owner”!
