DUCA – At the end of the1800, the “Duca degli Abruzzi” in preparation of the expedition to the North Pole, commissioned to Maniago’s master cutlers a high quality, sturdy workmanship multiple blades folding knife. Presented at the 1900 Universal Exhibition in Paris, the knife was awarded with silver medal. It became a very popular knife produced by different factories in Maniago and identified as “coltello Duca degli Abruzzi”. Mercury who’s producing multiple blades knives since 1950, has re-designed in modern and technologic way a multiple blades knife with a sintered steel blade and new handle materials naming it DUCA in memory of “Duca degli Abruzzi”.
